| Hello Ricky, I'm a Jordan Rudess and Dream Theater's fan. I play the keyboard like him (I have the same Kurzweil  ) I'm registerd in Your Majesty, the french fan club. I know you took part in the last Jordan's record, it's very good. I like notably Tarkus. I would like to know what's your participation in this record, did you like the collaboration with Jordan, how that's happened ? I think that's very interesting to know your emotions.

| @ Moon: I know Jordan for 9 years since the days in his side project with Petrucci, Levin & Portnoy called LTE Liquid Tension Experiment. I was so blown away by those two CDs. Jordan was not yet in Dream Theater. I had the pleasure to start a friendship with him back then and he always invited me to concerts. For me Jordan is close to be the perfect musician. He has such an incredible talent combined with virtuostic playing and musicality and sheer endless stream of ideas. His solo CDs and the work in DT are mind blowing and he is an incredible piano player as well!
My contribution to his latest solo CD "The Road Home" were for the songs Soundchaser and Tarkus.
He simply asked me if I am willing to do some playing for the record. When it comes to such a lavel of musicianship like him a guy like me is so tiny and small you have no idea how insecure I feel.
Having comercial success in the pop biz. is one thing and a good one but there are people out there who are so good at their instruments for the pure joy of art and mastership. Simply the result of years of practice and dedication and trust me the bar is very very high if it comes to that. I am not only talking about virtuoso playing and speed... not at all. The overall art.
When I walk around at some of the pop events that we visit with Lafee it makes me laugh internaly to myself of how selfconfident some people pretend to be not having a single idea of how lame and bad they actually are and I allways ask myself how ignorant you can be.
Me for myself I have seen the maximum at the horizon and I pretty much know where the mastership is. On the other side I have found out for my playing how far away I still am in terms of getting to that level if ever at all.
Knowing and playing for people like Jordan Rudess is simply a great honor a guy like me can witness as he is a pure genius in what he does. I feel VERY privileged!!

J'ai été tellement bouleversé par ces 2 Cd's.Jordan a cette époque ne faisait pas encore parti de Dream Theater.Je suis super heureux d'avoir été ami avec lui avant qu'il soit connu et il m'a toujours invité a tous ses concerts.Pour moi, Jordan est à peu pres le musicien parfait.Il a un tel talent, une telle virtuosité dans sa façon de jouer et musicalement, et ce flux continu d'idées. Ses CD's solo et sa contribution pour Dream Theater sont epoustouflantes et est bien sûr un incroyable pianiste !
J'ai contribué sur son dernier CD sur les chansons "Tarkus" et "Soundchaser".
Il m'a simplement demandé si je voulais jouer quelques trucs sur son CD.Quand ça vient d'un musicien d'un tel niveau, je me sens si petit, tu n'as pas d'idées de l'insécurité que j'ai ressenti.
Avoir du succès dans le domaine de la pop est une chose et une bonne chose mais il y a tant de gens dehors qui sont si bons avec leurs instruments et qui jouent avec la pure joie de la maîtrise de leur art.
Simplement le résultat d'années de pratiques et de dévouement et crois moi la barre est très très très haute si ils y arrivent. Je ne parle pas seulement de la virtuosité et de la vitesse dont c'est joué...pas seulement. L'art dans sa globalité.
Quand nous faisons certains événements pops avec LaFee, ça me fait rire interrieurement de voir l'arrogance qu'ont certaines personnes qui prétendent ne pas avoir d'idées de singles et comment ils sont en fait nuls et décevants et je me dis toujours "Qu'est-ce que vous pouvez etre ignorants !"
Moi, pour moi-même j'ai vu le maximum à l'horizon et je sais particulierement bien où peut-on trouver des vrais gars sachant la maitrise.D'un autre côté c'est en allant voir ailleurs que je me suis rendu compte que je suis loin du compte pour arriver a un tel niveau, si j'y arrive.
Connaître et jouer pour des personnes comme Jordan Rudess est simplement un grand honneur et je peux témoigner que c'est un pur génie dans tout ce qu'il fait. Je me sens TRES privilégié)
